The Leader Coherence Classification — Cameron Cross
The Leader Coherence Classification

Something underneath
strategy and skill.

A short diagnostic for senior leaders who sense the effort is no longer translating the way it used to.

Most leaders at your level hit a point where the effort doesn't translate the way it used to. Decisions take longer to land. The same problems keep showing up in different forms.

Not a skills problem. Not a strategy problem. Something underneath both.

The Leader Coherence Classification maps where that pattern — and up to 78 others — could be running within your operating reality.

01
The Instrument

What the Classification does.

Eight questions, delivered in a structured order. Each one locates where one of the 78 known coherence patterns may be interfering with how you make decisions, how your team executes, and how you're carrying the role.

The reading is automated and returned immediately. It names what the instrument detected, what it could mean, and what to watch for as you move through the next two weeks.

It will not solve the pattern. It will not hand you a framework to apply. It makes the pattern visible so you can self-correct — or decide that deeper work is warranted.

That's the whole instrument. Fifteen minutes to take. A reading you can hold against your own experience.

02
The Recognition

When the Classification tends to land.

You may recognise one or more of the following operating signals:

i.
Effort isn't converting into outcome the way it once did.
ii.
The same problems keep reappearing in different forms.
iii.
Scaling is creating friction where it used to create momentum.
iv.
Decisions you make get consumed by the system before reaching the edge.
v.
Team performance is high, but the cost of holding it there keeps climbing.
vi.
You're carrying something you can't quite name — not exhaustion, not doubt, something structural.

You don't need a word for it. The Classification provides one.

03
The Frame

Why this is free right now.

I'm validating this diagnostic with a small group of senior leaders before wider release. During this phase, the Snapshot is free in exchange for your honest reaction — including "this missed."

Early testers have said the reading named something they couldn't locate on their own. Others will tell me it didn't land. Both responses are useful to me, and the instrument becomes sharper because of both.

You will not be put into a sequence. You will not be pitched a program. I'll read your response, and if your Snapshot surfaces a pattern worth deeper examination, I'll tell you what the next step could look like. That's it.

04
The Limit

What the Snapshot is not.

It is not coaching. It is not a personality profile. It is not a leadership style assessment. It does not diagnose you as a person. It reads the structural patterns showing up in how your operating reality is organised right now.

It will not be useful if you're looking for affirmation, a label, or a toolkit. It tends to be useful if you're looking for accuracy.

Not coaching
Not a personality profile
Not a style assessment
Not motivation
Not a toolkit

Beyond the Classification

If the Classification surfaces something structural.

For leaders whose Snapshot locates a pattern that warrants deeper examination, there is a next step: a one-to-one Individual Leader Deep Dive Diagnostic. Read more about that here →
